M1-Woodward Avenue is a highway notably referred to as Detroit's Main Street and follows the route of the old Saginaw Trail that linked Detroit with Pontiac, and at the time, Flint and Saginaw.
Woodward Avenue was created after a devastating fire in 1805 and is one of five principal avenues in Detroit devised by Augustus B. Woodward as part of a street plan intended to make Detroit the Paris of the West, by emulating it’s wide avenues.
Woodward Avenue was the location of the first mile of concrete roadway in the entire country and in 1970, bore the M1 designation. Woodward Avenue is synonymous with cruising. As early as 1848, carriage drivers would race up and down Woodward Avenue after the roadway was converted from logs to planks.

The precision built into each watch makes each DWC purchase worth your consideration. This watch collection is great for mechanical fanatics who love fast cars and quality workmanship. I own multiple DWC watches, because the quality of DWC time pieces outshines larger more recognized manufactures. This watch is a perfect example why one DWC watch is a lifetime investment and inspiration to explore additional DWC watches.
This watch is one of the best looking watches in my collection. The fact that it commemorates the Shelby Daytona Coupe's participation and success in the Lemans 24 hour race give the watch meaning.
The watch is fantastic. Great craftsmanship, the movement is beautiful
Extremely well built. An absolute joy to look at. Very happy with my purchase.
I have a unique and eclectic watch collection that includes watches from Rolex, Omega, Bremont, Breitling, and Longines. A few days ago I bought an M1-Woodward® 24hr Legends Collection watch, the #20 with a stainless steel bracelet. I must say it is spectacular. The dial is simply stunning, and the build quality and finishing of the movement rival my other watches. It's my new favorite! I also can't say enough good things about the owner, Patrick Ayoub, who patiently answered all of my emails about the watch and black leather padded strap. I just love the watch and couldn't be happier with it. I give the watch, Patrick, and the Detroit Watch Company 5-gold stars.
